What You'll Do As a Material Handler, you'll play a key role in keeping operations moving efficiently while developing valuable industrial and equipment operation skills. Operate overhead cranes to safely move large steel coils and materials. Drive forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Assist with machine operations, including slitters and processing equipment. Read work orders and prepare materials for production and shipment. Build skids, bundle products, and secure outgoing orders. Use tape measures and inspection techniques to ensure quality standards are met. Support multiple departments and help maintain a safe, clean work environment. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, steel distribution, construction, or heavy industry. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Dependable work ethic and strong attention to detail. Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to safety. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating forklifts . Experience operating overhead cranes . Prior experience handling steel, metal products, or other heavy materials. Manufacturing or industrial production experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
