Job Description

Job Summary ChemQuest International is a specialty chemical distributor serving customers throughout the United States. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing daily warehouse activities, including order picking, pallet preparation, loading and unloading trucks, receiving shipments, and organizing inventory. Our warehouse handles chemical products packaged in various forms. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Pick customer orders accurately according to order instructions. Consolidate products onto pallets and prepare orders for shipment, including stretch-wrapping, strapping, and labeling as required. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Receive incoming shipments and assist with verifying product quantities and identifying damaged materials. Move, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations. Safely handle drums, totes, pails, bags, and other palletized materials. Verify product identification, lot numbers, and quantities when picking and preparing orders. Assist with inventory counts and maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete basic warehouse and shipping documentation as required. Perform routine equipment inspections and report any equipment or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow established warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and instructions from warehouse leadership. Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks, or successfully complete required training. Ability to read and understand product labels, order instructions, and shipping documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving environment. Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Experience handling drums, totes, pails, or other industrial containers preferred. Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and basic shipping documentation. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to safely move heavy materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other appropriate material-handling equipment. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all applicable safety procedures. Ability to work around properly packaged and stored chemical products.

Pay:
From $16.80 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
