Furniture Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate Thompson Furniture - 3.5 Bloomington, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Moving Load securement High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Full Job Description We are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on role that covers the whole process: unloading incoming freight, prepping and inspecting furniture in the warehouse, loading the truck, delivering to customers' homes, setting up and assembling on-site, and hauling away old pieces when needed. You're the last step in the sale; and can sometimes be the difference between a repeat customer and a one-time sale. We're a family-owned store, not a national chain. Which means everyone pitches in wherever it's needed. You might be helping with general property upkeep, rearranging the showroom, small repairs around the building, or organizing the warehouse. If you like variety and staying busy, this is a good fit.
Responsibilities:
Deliver furniture to customers' homes and offices safely and on schedule Assemble furniture on-site according to manufacturers' instructions Protect customers' homes during delivery (floors, doorways, walls, stairs, etc.) Haul away furniture when needed Collect signatures and payments Answer customer questions and handle concerns professionally Load, secure, and maintain a clean, organized delivery truck Prep and inspect furniture with the warehouse team before delivery Keep accurate records of deliveries and assembly work completed Handle warehouse, property, and maintenance work
Requirements:
Clean driving record and valid driver's license Prior delivery, moving, or hands-on trade experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person Must be able to repeatedly lift 75+ pounds, team-lift 200+ pounds, carry furniture up and down stairs, and stay active on your feet Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work Saturdays Apply online or stop by the store.
