Description/Job Summary This position is responsible for building loads for deliveries. In addition, the Lumber Yard Associate will load and unload lumber and other building supplies and operate a forklift. Occasionally, will assist with deliveries so a clean driving record IS required. The position will require a preemployment drug screen and criminal background check.

Essential Functions:

Build loads for delivery Assist customers load materials Operate forklift Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies Keeps lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe Other duties as assigned Required Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Good communication with Counter Associates and Management. Ability to understand and follow safety protocols. Lift up to 40 lbs. . Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment. Majority of work is outdoors. Bilingual is helpful, but not required. Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working in a lumber yard or similar is helpful. Forklift operation experience strongly preferred as well as Forklift Certification.
