Job Description

Jail Officers will work on shift under the supervision of a jail sergeant. The jail officer will maintain safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates. As a Jail Officer, you will be entrusted with maintaining the security and safety of the correctional facility. Your core skills in security and conflict management will be essential in effectively handling challenging situations and ensuring the well-being of inmates and staff. With premium skills in CCTV monitoring, first aid, law enforcement, CPR, and military experience, you will be well-equipped to respond to emergencies and enforce regulations within the facility. Your relevant skill in report writing will aid in documenting incidents and maintaining accurate records. Shifts are 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Provide safety and security in the jail environment Patrol all areas of the jail Maintain key and lock control Work in a Control Tower, open doors, log all inmate movement, ect. Escort inmates to court, medical appointments, work details, ect. Shakedown housing units, and other areas of the jail for contraband Keep records and paperwork in order for inmates files Supervise inmates during every day activities Pass meals to inmates during meal pass The job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the jail officer. Qualifications Security experience Correctional experience Conflict management skills Knowledge of CCTV systems First aid certification Law enforcement background CPR certification Military experience Proficient in report writing Join our team and make a significant impact in upholding order and security within the correctional system.
