Construction Warehouse Clerk

Job Description

Overview Dan Cristiani Excavating is a leading contractor with over 55 years of experience in utility construction and excavation services across the Midwest. Our expertise spans earthmoving, land clearing, demolition, stormwater drainage, water lines, sanitary lines, and stormwater retention. We are looking for a go-getter that is passionate about driving growth and opportunity for the company. This candidate would coordinate with the Parts Manager, shop team members, team leads, and field team members to ensure efficiency and productivity to meet quality standards in a timely manner.
JOB DUTIES
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Receive, inspect, label, and record parts in the inventory system; return incorrect or unused parts promptly. Pull, stage, and deliver materials for job lists; operate ladders, forklifts, or manlifts as needed. Conduct cycle counts and verify system accuracy for part quantities and locations. Track borrowed tools and ensure timely return to the barn. Collaborate with shop managers to ensure materials and tools are available for repairs and field crews. Purchase tools and materials as needed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Demonstrate knowledge of utilities, earth-moving materials, and related tools. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Perform duties in a fast-paced, sometimes loud environment while following all safety protocols. Other duties, as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of utilities, construction, or earth-moving materials and tools. Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, manlifts, and ladders safely Basic computer skills; ability to learn and use inventory management software. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment. Willingness to learn new skills and strong desire to succeed
SKILLS:
Capable of multitasking Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording. Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Strong written and verbal communication skills Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory & pricing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift over 50lbs Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, such as prolonged physical exertion, and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions, crawling under or climbing on top of equipment. Exposure to noise, heat, dust and fumes as found in a repair facility Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions. Ability to frequently climb in and out of various types of equipment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or
GED SCHEDULE
1st shift position, Monday•Friday (10-hour shift)
Work Hours:
6:00am•4:00pm, with overtime as needed
Job Type:
Full-Time Expected hours: 40•50 per week
