Position Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently receiving, moving, organizing, and staging materials throughout the facility. This position supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials, components, and finished products are accurately handled, properly stored, and available when needed. The Material Handler follows work orders, inventory procedures, and company safety policies while maintaining an organized and clean work area. Responsibilities Obtain and verify work order sub-assemblies from setup operations Combine work order sub-assemblies with their parent pick ticket Manage the staging and delivery of sub-assemblies and parent work orders using various priorities (due dates, hot orders, verbal, written) Pull and deliver components for machining processes Prep the internal and external surfaces of oily, painted, and plated components using the solvent tanks, tumble blaster, center-less grinder, honing brushes, and sand blasting equipment Maintain the basic operation of the equipment Assist the setup operators with putting away of raw material (hose, pipe, and tubing) Maintain production with minimal supervision Additional duties as required by the production manager Qualifications Must be able to pass a pre-placement drug screen Reliable transportation High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred 1-3 years warehouse experience, including forklift operation Ability to sit, stand, bend, and/or stoop during working hours Quickly learn and become proficient with the TrulinX ERP software Effectively communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others Maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management, and other personnel Perform all duties in a safe manner Ability to lift 50lbs or more Attentive to detail and accuracy Recommended Skills Forklift operation Basic math Basic hand and power tools Organization Self-motivated Independent worker Attention to detail Quality mindset Problem-solving Multi-tasking Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Training and advancement opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Schedule Monday - Friday Day shift with optional start time of either 5AM - 2:30PM or 7AM-3:30PM
