Job Title:
General Laborer - 4 week project Job Description This role involves building and assembling PODs, metal workstations, and inventory shelving units that support operations on a robotics floor. You work in a loud, fast-paced, warehouse environment as part of a team to complete a set number of PODs within specific timeframes. The position requires frequent heavy lifting, consistent use of hand and power tools, and a strong focus on safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities Build and assemble PODs that hold inventory on the robotics floor according to specifications and production targets. Construct and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units using hand and power tools. Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment, including repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work as part of a team to meet daily and shift-based production goals within defined timeframes. Use tools such as hammers, rivet guns, pallet jacks, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read and interpret basic measurements, including using a tape measure to ensure accurate assembly. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work area in compliance with company policies and procedures. Follow safety guidelines and remain safety conscious while working in a loud and fast-paced environment. Stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the shift to support continuous production activities. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor in construction, production, or similar environments. Hands-on experience with various hand tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks. Experience using power tools in an assembly, construction, or production setting. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to 45-50 pounds repetitively. Capability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time in a warehouse setting. Proven reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills. Demonstrated safety-conscious approach to work in fast-paced and loud environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Commercial construction experience, particularly with metal structures or assemblies. Assembly experience in production or warehouse environments. Basic carpentry skills related to building and assembling structures. Comfort working in a fast-paced, loud, and sometimes chaotic environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and consistent assembly of PODs and shelving units. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Whitestown, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.09/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
