Material Handler (Day Shift)

About the Role As a Material Handler at Maverick Pipe at Zekelman Industries, Richmond, KY, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. This position supports efficient warehouse and shipping operations through safe material handling and inventory management. This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Shift:

4:30am - 4:30pm What You'll Do Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers safely and efficiently Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting damages or discrepancies Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using reach trucks or forklifts Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency Perform additional duties as assigned Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance Who You Are Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or equivalent experience High school diploma or equivalent, preferred; technical training is a plus Basic math skills to support accurate order processing Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Problem-solving ability to address warehouse and shipping challenges High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards Commitment to maintaining safe work practices in a warehouse environment Physical Abilities Lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required throughout the shift Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move for extended periods Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Perform work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment What You'll Get Maverick Pipe at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
