Laitram Machine Shop provides cost effective, zero-defect inventory parts and components to other Laitram divisions, while supporting new product development through technical expertise and rapid turnaround. Responsibilities Most of the work will be completed with the use of a forklift Move material inside and outside of the Machine Shop to ensure smooth shop operations Empty material collection receptacles containing machining chips and coolant Put away received material to assigned locations Assist with deliveries for shipping and receiving, may include dropping off or picking up from local suppliers Responsible for material recycling and logistics to have material picked up Coordinates coolant disposal and recycling coolant when possible Assists with daily shipping and receiving activities when necessary Requirements Forklift experience Self-managed and self-starting individual Works well in a team environment Communicates clearly, verbally and written Proficiency in standard software packages (Excel, Microsoft, etc.) Strong attention to detail Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 45 lbs Desired Qualifications Overhead crane experience Previous experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing Previous experience working in shipping or receiving EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
