Laitram Machine Shop provides cost effective, zero-defect inventory parts and components to other Laitram divisions, while supporting new product development through technical expertise and rapid turnaround. Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities
+ Most of the work will be completed with the use of a forklift
+ Move material inside and outside of the Machine Shop to ensure smooth shop operations
+ Empty material collection receptacles containing machining chips and coolant
+ Put away received material to assigned locations
+ Assist with deliveries for shipping and receiving, may include dropping off or picking up from local suppliers
+ Responsible for material recycling and logistics to have material picked up
+ Coordinates coolant disposal and recycling coolant when possible
+ Assists with daily shipping and receiving activities when necessary Requirements
+ Forklift experience
+ Self-managed and self-starting individual
+ Works well in a team environment
+ Communicates clearly, verbally and written
+ Proficiency in standard software packages (Excel, Microsoft, etc.)
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 45 lbs Desired Qualifications
+ Overhead crane experience
+ Previous experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing
