Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Experienced Specialist within the Material Handling job family. Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Complexity & Problem Solving:

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

Collaboration & Interaction:

Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.



Experienced Specialist (Hourly)Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.

Good written and verbal communication, and basic math skills.

Ability to perform simple mathematical equations, using a basic calculator and scales.

Basic PC skills and ability to utilize a warehouse management system preferred.

Forklift certified and experience operating a fork truck safely in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to contribute as part of a team.

Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.

Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.

Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot).

Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.

The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.

Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
