Job Title:
Material Handler / Machine Operator Job Description This role combines general production, material handling, and machine operation to support the manufacturing of sticker labels for packages. You will operate production equipment, inspect and rewind printed materials, and ensure finished products are properly packaged and ready for shipment. Responsibilities Operate production and converting machines to manufacture sticker labels for packages according to specifications. Perform rewind and inspection work off presses to ensure product quality and correct labeling. Monitor machines during operation and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise to minimize downtime. Handle materials throughout the production process, including loading, unloading, and staging materials for machines. Support shipping activities by preparing, organizing, and moving finished goods to designated areas. Package finished products securely and accurately, following established procedures and standards. Perform general labor tasks in the production and warehouse areas as needed to support overall workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety guidelines. Essential Skills At least 2 years of machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in material handling within a warehouse or production setting. Experience with shipping tasks such as preparing and staging products for shipment. Hands-on experience with general labor duties in an industrial or warehouse environment. Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on production equipment. Capability to operate and monitor machinery safely and efficiently. Attention to detail when inspecting and rewinding products off presses. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a material handler in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Background in machine operating for label, packaging, or similar production lines. Comfort working in a team-oriented production environment. Willingness to work various shifts and train on a different shift as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a climate-controlled, brand new facility that is very clean and well lit, providing a comfortable and modern production environment.
Multiple shifts are available:
1st shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Candidates hired for off shifts will train on 1st shift for approximately one month before transitioning to their regular schedule. You will work around production machinery and warehouse equipment in a structured, organized setting designed to support efficient manufacturing and shipping operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
