Job Description
Job Description This position is for a warehouse worker for the Air Traffic Control Division. The selected candidate must be a self-motivated individual with preferred experience in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing parts and data entry. Will be required to operate a computer, forklift, pallet jack, small hand tools and other warehouse material handling equipment. Duties for this position include physical exertion such as lifting (no more than 40lbs) stooping, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and climbing ladders. Hazardous materials are part of the work environment. The selected candidate will be required to wear approved safety shoes at all times plus other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $20.81/hr. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma / or equivalent and some related experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Microsoft Office applications Ability to exert physical energy (lift no more than 50lbs and climb ladders) Ability to pass background check to gain access to US Navy installations and other customer sites Pay Information This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
