General Laborer / Operator Job Description This role supports a heat treat facility by safely loading and unloading materials, moving products through the shop, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will perform general labor and operator duties, including product movement, shot blasting, inspection, and basic paperwork, while working effectively as part of a team in a hot, industrial environment. Responsibilities Load and unload materials and parts safely and efficiently. Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Perform general labor duties, including product movement throughout the facility. Operate shot blasting equipment and handle parts as directed. Conduct basic count verifications to ensure accurate inventory and order fulfillment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas. Assist with inspection tasks to ensure product quality meets standards. Follow all safety procedures and use required protective equipment. Lift and move items weighing up to 60 lbs as part of daily tasks. Collaborate with team members and support production needs as assigned. Essential Skills Ability to lift and handle up to 60 lbs regularly. Basic math skills for counting, simple calculations, and verification tasks. Basic reading and writing skills to follow instructions and complete paperwork. Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial or production environment. Experience using hand tools safely and effectively. Comfort working in a hot industrial setting, including seasonal temperature extremes. The environment can be cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so you must be comfortable working in varying temperatures. Work is performed on set shifts of 4:00 p.m. to midnight or midnight to 8:00 a.m. You will use hand tools, shot blasting equipment, and other industrial tools as part of daily duties. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses; if you do not have these at the start, you may obtain them after your first paycheck. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
