Job details Summary Spherion $15.00 per hour Temp to Perm 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Industry warehousing & distribution (Transportation and Material Moving Occupations) Reference number S_179712 Job details A Freeland-area construction supplies warehouse is seeking a Clerk to join their team! This is a 1st shift, full-time position with hours from 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. Candidates should be attentive to detail and mechanically inclined. Duties include ensuring prompt and accurate fulfillment of orders, obtaining receipts or signatures for receiving and shipping products, assisting in all aspects of warehousing, loading, unloading, stocking, inventory, and securement of products, as well as proper packing of products for shipment. Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of warehousing, including loading, unloading, stocking, inventory management, and securement of products. Some modification of parts may be needed, so having a background in construction to visualize how components will go together is very helpful. Efficiently collect and move materials and products throughout the facility. Ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment of orders. Obtain receipts or signatures for receiving and shipping products. Properly pack products for shipment.
Skills:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. A background in the construction field is desired to understand how component parts go together, to facilitate understanding of supplies will be installed at customer sites. Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling environment is preferred. Basic computer skills for inventory management and order fulfillment. Knowledge of safety regulations related to material handling and shipping.
