Desired Skills & Experience:

Active Special Education Teacher certification (state appropriate) Experience working with students with a range of disabilities Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and organization skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Flexibility and adaptability to serve either elementary or middle school students based on assignment

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute effective lesson plans tailored to students' individual needs Provide specialized instruction in resource, inclusion, or self-contained settings Maintain accurate documentation for IEPs and monitor student progress Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and related service providers Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Employ a variety of teaching strategies and classroom management skills to foster student growth Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment
