We sell flooring, kitchen and bath fixtures, doors, door hardware and other home improvement items both locally and nationally through different online marketplaces. Job Summary:
•We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to customers and ensuring timely delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Operate a 24 ft. box truck with liftgate to transport goods and products to customers. Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload cargo, which may require heavy lifting and moving heavy objects. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and any issues that may arise during transport. Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules Communicate with customers and management regarding delivery status, any issues, and changes to delivery schedules. Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and professional in all interactions with customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Fulfill logistical needs in processing, store inventory, picking orders, ensuring orders are going out for deliveries, customer service, and counter service Operate all equipment necessary for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant equipment Assist the Executive Director in executing warehouse standards of safety, maintenance, and cleanliness Take online sales and provide information for customers. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required
Experience:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum 24 months of verifiable, current experience driving a van Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to operate forklift proficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving of packages or goods Previous experience in a warehouse or courier environment is advantageous 6 months Warehouse experience including forklift operation
