Job Description

Perform loading and unloading of materials, supply production lines, store materials in accordance with established standards and procedures, record the receipt and issuance of parts and materials, assist with physical inventory activities, and perform other related duties inherent to the position.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
RECEIVING Receive raw materials, components, materials, and products, performing a physical inspection to verify quantities against the corresponding invoices, identification, and apparent condition, in accordance with established procedures.
INSPECTION
  • Physically inspect and identify received materials, verifying quantities, identification, and consistency with the corresponding documents and identification cards;
  • Verify that the materials received are in suitable condition for storage and use, reporting any discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor responsible.
SAP TRANSACTION POSTING
  • Post received materials and components in SAP, verifying that physical quantities match the corresponding identification cards and documents;
  • Ensure the accuracy of transactions recorded in the system, avoiding errors such as duplicate postings, failure to post raw materials, missing postings, or entries recorded in incorrect locations.
  • For Foundry Personnel Activities - At the end of each shift, post the quantities of raw components specific to the Foundry in
SAP MATERIAL HANDLING
  • Move raw materials, components, materials, and finished products using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other authorized material-handling equipment, in accordance with safety procedures;
  • Travel through designated locations and areas as instructed, collecting and moving finished products and components from each area to their respective storage or point-of-use locations.
STORAGE / LOCATION ASSIGNMENT
  • Organize and store materials in a manner that preserves their physical integrity and usability, taking into consideration the characteristics of each material and facilitating their identification, handling, and use;
  • Store and assign locations to all types of materials and components in accordance with established procedures and records in the ERP system;
  • Ensure that materials are properly identified, organized, and available in their designated storage locations, ensuring the correct use of assigned storage locations.
PREPARATION
  • Pick and pre-stage the materials and components required to supply production lines, in accordance with the Production Planning and Control (PPC) schedule and/or requests from production areas;
  • Organize materials so that they are properly identified, available in the required quantities, and ready for handling and delivery to production.
PRODUCTION LINE SUPPLY
  • Supply production lines by providing the required materials and components in a timely manner and in the appropriate quantities, contributing to the continuity of the production process;
  • Monitor material availability at supply points and report any replenishment needs, discrepancies, or risks of material shortages to the supervisor responsible;
  • Respond to requests from user departments by providing the materials and parts required for operations in a timely manner.
INVENTORY CONTROL
  • Maintain inventory records up to date through the ERP system, accurately recording all receipts, movements, transfers, production line supplies, and material issues;
  • Ensure consistency between physical inventory and system records, supporting the identification and correction of any discrepancies;
  • Assist with physical inventory activities, contributing to inventory accuracy.
PICKING / ORDER PREPARATION
  • Pick and inspect materials designated for shipment, return, or other material movements, ensuring that quantity, identification, and destination are consistent with the applicable documents and procedures;
  • Pick materials for return to suppliers and notify the Quality Department, following established procedures for supplier returns.
SHIPPING
  • Prepare materials designated for shipment, ensuring proper identification, quantity, packaging, and destination in accordance with applicable documents and procedures;
  • Handle and load materials designated for shipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material-handling equipment, in compliance with safety procedures;
  • Record receipts, issues, and other material movements related to shipments in the ERP/SAP system, ensuring consistency between physical materials and system records.
FORKLIFT OPERATION AND SAFETY
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with internal safety procedures and applicable legal requirements;
  • Complete the forklift daily checklist, inspecting the equipment's operating and safety conditions before use and immediately reporting any irregularities identified;
  • Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with applicable safety procedures for material handling, storage, production line supply, and shipping activities.
INVENTORY AND RELATED ACTIVITIES
Assist in conducting physical inventories of materials and components, contributing to inventory counting, identification, and stock accuracy, as well as performing other related duties inherent to the position, in accordance with internal procedures and management instructions.
REQUIREMENTS
(Technical, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Skills) § High School Diploma (mandatory) § Forklift Operator certification (mandatory) § Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, material handling, production line supply, picking, and shipping activities (mandatory) § Experience with management systems applicable to
IATF 16949
(desirable) § Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software systems (mandatory) § Experience with SAP ERP system (desirable) § Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (mandatory)
