Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler - Forklift Operator to support material movement and production operations in Brooklyn Park, MN. This position involves moving materials to and from production areas, operating powered industrial trucks, and ensuring all material transactions are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous forklift and material handling experience is preferred, along with the ability to use handheld scanners and computer systems to support accurate inventory and production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate material handling equipment including counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pickers, tuggers, and turret trucks. Accurately pick, kit, stage, and deliver materials to designated production and storage locations. Use handheld scanners and computers to complete material movement and inventory transactions. Perform material audits, empty hoppers, and manage dunnage and other production materials. Verify product numbers, quantities, and locations to support inventory accuracy. Maintain clean and organized workspaces in accordance with safety standards. Identify, document, and communicate material discrepancies or process improvement opportunities. Collaborate with production and warehouse team members while also working independently as needed. Follow all company safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment. Assist with additional material handling and production support duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of material handling or warehouse experience preferred. Forklift certification or previous experience operating powered material handling equipment required. Ability to read and follow standard work instructions and complete required documentation. Experience using handheld scanners or computer systems for material transactions preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions with limited supervision. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds and standing for extended periods throughout the shift. Exposure to welding fumes and industrial noise levels of 85 dB or greater. Work in varying temperatures and in confined or awkward positions as needed. Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and repetitive movements. Operation of cranes, hoists, forklifts, and basic material handling tools as required. Exposure to magnets that may interfere with certain medical devices. Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed/metatarsal footwear, bump cap, fall harness, and other material handling safety equipment as required.
