Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and group homes. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm and respectful environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to excel in this rewarding position. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with patience and respect Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Help clients with mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings while ensuring client safety Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care strategies Familiarity with care plans, medication administration protocols, and patient monitoring procedures Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently in emergency situations Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer devices safely Understanding of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate support that empowers individuals to live comfortably and independently.
