The Material Control Person is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the manufacturing process. This role involves inventory management, coordination with production schedules, and maintaining records to ensure production runs smoothly while minimizing waste and downtime. Do you have what it takes? Monitor and maintain raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods levels. Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials. Ensure materials are delivered to production lines in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate the movement of materials between storage areas and production lines. Review and confirm labels on finished goods that are ready to leave the production area. Transport finished goods to staging area; stretch wrap and properly label product. Weigh and disposition scrap materials. Ensure all materials are handled according to company policies and safety standards. Maintains company attendance standards. All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Problem-solving skills to address material shortages or disruptions.
