- Job Description
- This role supports daily warehouse operations on a first-shift schedule, focusing on order picking, packing, inventory control, and material handling. You will work with metal products, use shipping systems on an iPad or computer, and handle moderate to heavy lifting while helping ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Responsibilities
- + Arrive each day on time and ready to work the full scheduled first-shift hours, Monday through Friday.
+ Perform general order picking and packing to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
+ Count and verify inventory quantities, including counts in the range of 2030 units or more, to maintain accurate stock records.
+ Use an iPad or computer to process orders, print labels, and operate shipping systems.
+ Lift and move metal pieces weighing approximately 5060 pounds throughout the shift using proper lifting techniques.
+ Handle materials safely and efficiently using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as required.
+ Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading, unloading, labeling, and staging products.
+ Use RF scanners to pick, pack, and track inventory and orders accurately.
+ Label packages and pallets clearly to support accurate identification and shipment.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse.
+ Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with metal materials and warehouse equipment.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and shipping goals.
- Essential Skills
- + Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
+ Hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations.
+ Ability to perform general warehouse and material handling tasks.
+ Ability to safely lift and move metal pieces weighing 5060 pounds on a regular basis.
+ Experience using pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
+ Familiarity with RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory tracking.
+ Ability to use an iPad or computer to operate shipping systems and process orders.
+ Strong attention to detail when counting inventory and labeling products.
+ Reliable attendance and the ability to consistently show up ready to work each day.
+ Comfort working with metal products in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Forklift operating experience, especially in a warehouse or metal industry environment, is highly desirable.
+ Previous experience working in the metal industry is considered a strong plus.
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
+ Willingness to learn new tasks and grow into machine operating or other advanced positions.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills.

- Work Environment
- This is a first-shift warehouse role with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.
m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You will work in a warehouse environment handling metal products and performing regular lifting of 5060 pound pieces. The role involves frequent use of pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified or trained), RF scanners, and shipping systems on an iPad or computer. The setting is active and physical, with a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork. Appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and metal-handling environment is expected, including clothing and footwear that support safe and comfortable movement throughout the shift.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $19.
00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
