This role directly supports the sales and install teams by providing precise measurements, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth logistical execution. Success in this role reduces errors, improves job profitability, and enhances customer satisfaction through operational excellence. The success of this role will be measured by: Measurement Accuracy Consistently accurate field measurements with minimal re-measures or job corrections Clear, complete, and timely measurement documentation provided to the sales team Warehouse Accuracy & Efficiency Low error rate in material picking, staging, and inventory handling Accurate receiving, labeling, and storage of materials Job Readiness & Support Jobs staged correctly and on time to support installation schedules Effective coordination with sales, scheduling, and installation teams Communication & Collaboration Clear, proactive communication regarding measurements, material needs, or job issues Strong teamwork across departments Safety & Organization Adherence to safety standards in both field and warehouse environments Clean, organized warehouse and work areas Reliability & Flexibility Dependability in attendance and task completion Willingness to assist across warehouse and operational needs as required
Roles and Responsibilities:
Field Measuring / Estimating Support Conduct on-site field measurements for residential and multi-housing projects Capture accurate dimensions, layouts, transitions, stair details, and material needs Identify potential jobsite issues (subfloor conditions, access constraints, moisture concerns, etc.) Accurately document and submit measurements, sketches, and notes for the sales team Communicate measurement discrepancies or concerns clearly and promptly (

This role does not sell or price jobs, but provides accurate information used by the sales team to estimate projects.) Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders Label, store, and organize materials accurately within the warehouse Pick, stage, and prepare materials for upcoming installations or deliveries Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse Logistics & Coordination Work closely with scheduling, sales, and installation teams to support job readiness Assist with deliveries, pickups, transfers, and material movement as needed Ensure correct materials are allocated to the correct jobs Inventory & Process Support Assist with cycle counts, inventory organization, and discrepancy resolution Help identify opportunities for process improvements in measuring, staging, and warehouse flow Support accurate job documentation and material tracking Required Skills & Experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read floor plans, drawings, and layouts Comfortable performing field measurements in occupied and unoccupied spaces Good written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic proficiency with mobile devices, email, and Microsoft Office Experience in flooring, construction, estimating support, or warehouse work preferred High moral character, professionalism, and reliability Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50-100 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the workday Comfortable working in warehouses, construction sites, and residential environments www.hamernicks.com
