Summary The Warehouse Associate
  • Shipping & Receiving supports within the Warehouse and Shipping Department and is primarily centered on the management of client properties within the warehouse, inventory duties and other generalized warehouse functions.
This position is eligible to work an in person schedule based out of our St. Paul, MN location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Receiving Responsibilities Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently. Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents. Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, or quality issues. Label and store products and take to designated person or warehouse location. Communicate discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors and purchasing personnel. Maintain organized staging and receiving areas. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Keep receiving log up to date. Take all necessary photos, upload them, and forward them to the appropriate personnel when required. Shipping Responsibilities Verify order quantities and product specifications before shipment. Assist in packaging products to prevent damage during transit. Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation. Load outbound shipments safely and securely. Ensure on-time shipment of customer orders according to schedule requirements. Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality. Assist in resolving shipping errors and customer delivery issues. Keep shipping log up to date. Take all necessary photos, upload them, and forward them to the appropriate personnel when required. General Warehouse Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all warehouse procedures, policies, and safety standards. Participate in continuous improvement and lean warehouse initiatives. Assist other warehouse departments as operational needs require. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and operational problems promptly. Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy goals. Train new team members as assigned. Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and positive communication with coworkers and management. Education & Experience At least one year of warehouse experience preferred The ability to operate multiple types of forklifts and warehouse equipment The ability to stay on task and oversee multiple jobs at once in an organized and efficient manner Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stopping, bending, kneeling and reaching Basic computer operation and navigation (including Word and Excel) as well as the ability to use a camera to upload photos Work safely, accurately and quickly using material and resources effectively Demonstrate a commitment to the successful completion of all projects to a high standard Ability to function as a team player and be a problem solver What We Offer The Freeman Company provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
