Job Description

1st shift. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Since its inception in 1993, Consolidated Machine & Welding (CM&W) has become a local leader in metal fabrication and machine shop services. The company has grown steadily by providing quality craftsmanship and quick turnaround for a countless number of items ranging from ancillary products needed by various manufacturers to short runs and one-offs requested by other facilities. To learn more, visit us at www.cmandw.com. Consolidated Machine & Welding is looking for first-shift Material Handlers at our Hannibal, MO location. You'll receive and stock raw materials in inventory while recording location of inventory. You'll assist in preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product, and be responsible for managing scrap dumpsters and assisting with the loading of trucks as needed, all while complying with company and safety policies and procedures. Pay starting at $19.57 per hour.
What You'll Do:
Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to drive a forklift. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to keep a clean and organized work area. Ability to comply with policies and procedures, including those related to safety.
What Helps:
Warehouse or production experience, and familiarity with warehouse equipment is a plus. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. The above list is non-exhaustive.
