Job Description
- Job Title: Warehouse Worker
- Job Description
- This role involves operating a sit-down propane forklift to move stock for outgoing shipments, loading and unloading trucks at the dock and in the yard, and accurately picking and allocating orders within the warehouse. You will regularly use scanners, tape measures, and power saws to cut product to size, while maintaining a clean and safe work area and handling materials up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Responsibilities
- + Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move stock for outgoing shipments in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Load and unload trucks at the loading dock and in the yard, ensuring materials are handled carefully and accurately.
+ Pick orders for outgoing shipments using RF scanners, following order details and maintaining accuracy.
+ Allocate product within the warehouse, organizing stock in the appropriate locations.
+ Operate chain saws or skill saws to cut product to specified sizes, following safety procedures and measurements.
+ Use tape measures daily to verify dimensions and ensure products meet required specifications.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs as needed and move or slide product up to 100 lbs using proper material handling techniques.
+ Perform general clean up of the work area after each shift to maintain a safe and organized environment.
+ Support overall warehouse operations as needed to ensure timely and accurate completion of customer orders.
- Essential Skills
- + At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
+ Proficiency operating a sit-down propane forklift.
+ Experience with inventory and material handling in a warehouse environment.
+ Ability to use RF scanners for picking and tracking orders.
+ Ability to operate chain saws or skill saws to cut product to size safely.
+ Comfort using tape measures accurately on a daily basis.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move or slide product up to 100 lbs.
+ Willingness to stay until all customer orders are completed when shifts extend.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + General labor experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. + Strong attention to detail when picking, measuring, and cutting product. + Ability to follow safety procedures when operating forklifts and power tools. + Reliability and flexibility to work overtime, including some Saturdays, when needed.

- Work Environment
- You work primarily in a warehouse environment, with regular exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions when loading and unloading trucks.
The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with shifts that may extend to 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. depending on customer orders, and you are expected to stay until all orders are finished. Overtime is possible after the regular shift and on Saturdays, especially during busy periods. The role involves frequent use of forklifts, RF scanners, tape measures, and power saws, along with regular lifting and material handling in an active, production-focused setting.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
81 - $20.81/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
