Summary:

Physical execution arm of the warehouse function - keeps the yard, shop, and warehouse clean, organized, and working, and moves material accurately from receipt through staging to load-out. Supports the Head of Warehouse & Inventory across receiving, staging, counts, and equipment care, and holds accountability for the condition and order of the physical premises. 2. Responsibilities Role Scope & Operating Posture Execute the day-to-day physical work of the warehouse, yard, and shop under the direction of the Head of Warehouse & Inventory. Hold accountability for the cleanliness, order, and working condition of the premises -the yard is what customers, inspectors, and vendors see. Support installation crews with material and equipment needs before they leave and when they return. Work to standards set by the Head of Warehouse & Inventory; raise problems rather than working around them. Material Handling & Staging Support Pull and stage material against work orders as directed - posts, rails, fabric, panels, pickets, gates, hardware, and concrete. Assemble gate hardware kits and small-parts bags by job. Load and unload flatbeds, trailers, and company vehicles; secure loads correctly for transport. Support morning load-out so crews roll on time at 7:30 AM. Handle material returned from jobs - sort, inspect, restock what is usable, and set aside what is damaged for the Head of Warehouse to assess. Receiving & Put-Away Support (Under Head of Warehouse Direction) Unload inbound freight and stage it for verification; the Head of Warehouse owns the check against the packing slip and purchase order. Report visible damage, shortages, and wrong material at the point of unloading rather than after put-away. Put received material away the day it arrives, in its designated location. Yard, Shop & Warehouse Upkeep Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, warehouse, and work areas. Keep material stored in its assigned location, protected from weather, and stacked safely. Dispose of waste, scrap, and packaging appropriately; maintain scrap segregation where material is recovered. Keep access lanes, load-out areas, and equipment paths clear and passable. Tool & Equipment Care Perform routine upkeep on shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools; keep them clean, serviceable, and stored correctly. Conduct daily inspections on assigned equipment and report defects, damage, or unsafe condition to the Head of Warehouse immediately. Operate forklift and yard equipment safely within certification. Support tool and equipment checkout — issue to crews, confirm return, and report items missing or returned damaged. Inventory Count Support Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory as directed. Count accurately and report what is actually found; never adjust a count to match a record. Maintain location and labeling discipline so material can be found without searching. Safety Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. Work within forklift and equipment safety rules and maintain safe practices in an active yard. Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic - the role starts early, and the crews depend on it. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools. Forklift operation expected; the company will certify the right candidate. Ability to read work orders and material lists accurately. Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Qualifications Warehouse, yard, construction, or building-materials experience. Familiarity with fencing materials and components. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Work performed in a shop, warehouse, and outdoor yard environment, year - round and in all weather. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; regular bending, reaching, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, construction materials, and active equipment and vehicle traffic. Conduct other duties as requested by management within reason.

Pay:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
