Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Overtime Available Staffworks Group is hiring dependable Asphalt General Laborers to support paving crews on road construction and asphalt projects in the Fayetteville, NC area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are dependable, and are looking to build a career in the construction industry. Previous asphalt experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train motivated candidates. Essential Responsibilities Assist asphalt paving crews with road, highway, and parking lot construction projects. Perform general labor duties, including shoveling, raking, sweeping, and spreading asphalt materials. Help prepare work areas before paving by cleaning surfaces and removing debris. Support equipment operators and asphalt crew members during paving operations. Set up and remove traffic control devices, barricades, and cones as directed. Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Previous construction, asphalt, paving, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation are required. Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the workday. Work around heavy construction equipment and moving vehicles safely. Perform repetitive manual labor in hot and cold weather conditions.
