A crate builder constructs custom wooden or metal containers and skids to safely package, protect, and transport heavy, oversized, or fragile goods. if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Shift/Pay:

1st shift 7am - 4pm (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities for this Crate builder job include:

Measure and Cut:

Read blueprints, work orders, or measurements to cut lumber and plywood to precise dimensions.

Assemble and Secure:

Build frames, bases, skids, and walls using hand and power tools like saws, nail guns, drills, and staplers.

Package Freight:

Secure and cushion items inside the containers using foam, strapping, or wrapping materials for safe transit.

Inspect and Maintain:

Check finished crates for structural integrity and keep the workspace and shop equipment clean and safe.

Material Handling:

Move lumber and loaded containers using pallet jacks or forklifts

Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards, work rules, and efficient operation of equipment

Other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Experience:

1 to 3 years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or light industrial manufacturing.

Tool Proficiency:

Strong working knowledge of power tools (circular saws, table saws, nail guns, drills) and measuring devices like tape measures. Physica
