Job Description
Job Summary Previous applicants need not apply! We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate different types of vehicles, including fork trucks, box trucks and flat bed truck. No CDL required Responsibilities Be capable of safely operating a forklift / truck, and using a pallet jack. Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Excellent driving record is required. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage during transport. Must be able to lift or move items weighing 25lbs. frequently and 50+lbs. occassionally. Navigate efficiently to various delivery locations using GPS or maps, ensuring timely arrivals. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures when required. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Maintain milage and fuel records. Must be capable of learning warehouse operation, part identification and their location in the warehouse and become proficient at pulling orders and preparing for shipment correctly. Preform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Operation Manager. Skills All applicants must have or be able to obtain a Real ID driver's license and meet DBIDS qualification to gain entry for making deliveries to military bases. 1+ years of experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and no moving violation. A CDL license is not required. We currently operate automatic transmission vehicles only. Any person who has ever had their driver's license revoked, need not apply. Familiarity with warehouse operations and courier services is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy packages safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Proficient in navigating routes using GPS technology or traditional maps. Fork truck experience required Must be able to pass a drug test All new hires are required to complete a 90 day probationary period.
