Position Summary We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Laydown Yard Operators and Material Handlers to support a long-term utility infrastructure project in Springfield, NE. This is an outdoor yard position involving the unloading, movement, organization, and storage of large utility materials used for high-voltage power line projects. Class 7 heavy-duty outdoor forklift and/or telehandler experience is required . Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and handling large, heavy materials.

Responsibilities:

Operate Class 7 heavy-duty outdoor forklifts and telehandlers to safely move and position materials throughout the yard. Unload poles and heavy utility materials from flatbed trucks and trailers. Organize, store, and relocate inventory throughout the laydown yard. Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage and report issues as needed. Maintain an organized and safe work area while following proper material-handling procedures. Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and procedures when working around heavy equipment and oversized materials.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous Class 7 heavy-duty forklift and/or telehandler experience required. Experience handling large or oversized materials and unloading flatbed trailers preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and consistent work history. First Aid certification is preferred but not required. Steel-toe shoes/boots required; additional PPE provided.
