The General Laborer supports construction activities on industrial warehouse job sites by performing a wide range of physical tasks and miscellaneous duties as needed to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.HEO:
We are seeking multiple skilled equipment operators for a local warehouse project. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating various heavy equipment, including dump trucks, bulldozers, and excavators, primarily from John Deere and some CAD models.Responsibilities Laborer:
Perform general labor tasks on industrial warehouse construction sites, including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting skilled trades as directed. Support construction and general site work such as moving materials, organizing tools, and preparing work areas for daily operations. Carry out demolition activities under supervision, including removing existing structures, fixtures, and debris while following safety procedures. Complete trenching and digging tasks for foundations, utilities, and other project needs using hand tools and basic equipment. Perform dirt work such as grading, backfilling, and leveling soil to support construction and site preparation. Follow OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment. Use hand tools and basic construction equipment properly and maintain them in clean and working condition. Communicate with supervisors and team members to understand daily work assignments and report progress or issues. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment from trucks and staging them in designated areas. Maintain a clean and organized job site by regularly removing trash, scrap materials, and hazards from work areas.HEO:
Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently. Utilize bulldozers for site preparation and grading. Manage excavators for trenching and material handling tasks. Ensure equipment is maintained and in good working condition. Follow safety protocols and comply with OSHA standards.Essential Skills Laborer:
Experience performing general labor tasks in a construction environment. Ability to perform construction and general site work, including material handling and site cleanup. Capability to safely carry out demolition activities following instructions and safety guidelines. Skill in trenching and digging using hand tools and basic equipment. Experience with dirt work such as grading, backfilling, and leveling. Understanding of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow all safety rules and procedures. Physical ability to lift, carry, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions on active construction sites. Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.HEO:
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, bulldozers, and excavators. Knowledge and experience with John Deere and CAD equipment. Ability to follow safety regulations and maintain equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA certification or training in construction safety. Previous experience on industrial or commercial construction projects. Comfort working with hand tools and basic construction equipment. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with approximately 10-20 hours of overtime available per week depending on project needs. Work takes place outdoors and indoors on construction sites, involving exposure to weather, dust, noise, and typical construction conditions. You will use hand tools and basic construction equipment and work closely with a site team focused on safety and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterford, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
