Job Description
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Tech I at Santa Fe Brewing Co. is responsible for the daily tasks of the shipping and receiving department. Primary responsibilities are related to delivering beer orders, truck loading and unloading, order staging, inventory management, task efficiency, storage efficiency, and FIFO This position is best suited for a highly organized person with strong logistics aptitude and a passion for safety, quality, and efficiency. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager, but will also work closely with Operations, Production, and Quality departments. This is a Full-Time, benefits eligible, hourly position.Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute daily warehouse operation, including o Driving delivery vehicles o Staging, verifying, and shipping of finished goods o Receiving raw materials o Using and maintaining powerlift equipment and fleet vehicles
- Maintaining of Warehouse Department facilities o Maintains the organization of the warehouse area o Report and remove damaged products o Daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- Coordination with Production, including o Receiving finished goods and confirming the quality of packaging o Working with the warehouse manager to respond to any production deviations and adjusting shipments accordingly
- Coordination with Maintenance, including o Mechanical troubleshooting and light repairs o Assisting with major work, as necessary o Executing ongoing PMs
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, including o Assisting with monthly counts of materials including finished goods, packing supplies, and raw materials o Notifies supervisor of supply needs of consumables (wrap, gas, etc.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- 1+ years' experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred. Brewing, beverage, or food logistics experience is a plus.
- Experience using powerlift equipment preferred. Certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and multitasking skills required.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with other departments to meet production needs.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Able to work with powerlift equipment
- Able to lift materials up to 55 lbs. unassisted
- Able to drive a non-CDL delivery truck
- Able to work in tight, or cramped spaces, and in an environment with high noise levels.
- Able to work around hazardous chemicals
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (boots, gloves, eye protection, ear protection, etc.)
- Variable temperature levels, particulate atmospheres, wet floors and clothing, limited exposure to hot fluids, carbon dioxide, live steam, pressurized vessels, and transfer lines.
