Job Description
Job Summary Lynch Furniture in Auburn is seeking a motivated, dependable Warehouse/Delivery person. Must have a clean, valid driver's license. Must be able to lift over 125 lbs. Must be physically fit . 30-45 hours per week. Please submit resume or apply in person Monday-Friday 10-3. $17-$18 per hour, plus tips. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicle, including box trucks, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and organize goods using manual handling techniques. Prepare delivery routes using mobile devices or route planning tools to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules. Deliver products directly to customers' locations with professionalism, ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service skills. Assist with warehouse operations by moving inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Follow safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items to prevent injury and ensure workplace safety. Load and unload shipments accurately, verifying contents against delivery documents and maintaining proper documentation for all transactions. Skills Valid driver's license\appropriate driving credentials for box truck. Experience in delivery driving, including route planning and adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices; familiarity with weight handling in the workplace is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations including load & unload procedures, inventory management, and moving materials efficiently. Competence in using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes.
