Job Description
Furniture company in Long Island City (Queens) looking to hire a handyman / furniture technician to assemble and repair furniture, help maintain our warehouse and assist with orders and deliveries. Local Candidates Only (Queens / Brooklyn / Manhattan area only) Responsibilities and Duties Assembling, installing and repairing furniture in warehouse and at customer locations Organizing and maintaining furniture warehouse. Preparing furniture/orders for delivery or shipping. Packing, loading and unloading furniture in warehouse and at other locations. Working as a team together with other warehouse staff. Assisting with deliveries, or driving company truck, if experienced Qualifications and Skills Must have technical experience with assessing and repairing/servicing different types of equipment and mechanical issues. Must have extensive experience with use of hand-tools and power tools for maintenance and assembly of equipment. Experience with furniture assembly, disassembly and repair is helpful Furniture moving experience is helpful. Must be able to lift and move heavy furniture with moving equipment. Must be available to work evenings and weekends sometimes. Must speak English and be authorized to work in the
