Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Worker to assist with the daily operations of our vehicle repossession yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, securing, inspecting, and maintaining recovered vehicles while ensuring the yard remains clean, safe, and efficient. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a strong commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities Organize and move repossessed vehicles throughout the storage yard. Perform vehicle check-in and check-out procedures. Inspect vehicles for damage and document vehicle condition. Secure vehicles by locking doors, securing windows, and safeguarding personal property. Maintain accurate inventory of vehicles and keys. Assist tow truck operators with staging and positioning vehicles. Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of hazards. Perform routine lot maintenance, including debris removal and snow/ice removal when necessary. Ensure all vehicles are parked according to company procedures and local regulations. Assist customers, transporters, law enforcement, and lienholders as directed. Complete paperwork and use company software to update vehicle status. Follow all company safety policies and security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working outdoors year-round. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience Automotive, towing, repossession, salvage, impound, or dealership lot experience. Basic knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and VIN identification. Experience using inventory management systems. Work Environment Outdoor vehicle storage facility. Exposure to various weather conditions. Fast-paced environment with frequent walking, standing, bending, and vehicle movement.
