Job Summary The primary role for the Material Handler is to move material around the plant with a forklift and/or crane to support the needs of the plant floor. In addition, this role may package, weigh, load, unload, stock, do inventory of, and stage material in a timely and accurate manner. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties to the highest standard. Job Requirements Identify and obtain pertinent information from shop order or bill of materials (BOM) Move material around plant using a forklift and/or overhead crane Ensure areas are supplied with parts and remove finished skids Move and stage material as scheduled for optimum efficiency Receive material and stock to the proper plant locations Pack prepping material for shipment Load and unload trucks as needed Perform housekeeping duties in the plant as required Follow standard work procedures Adhere to all safety standards Minimum Requirements Highly organized Basic math and measuring skills Have an eye for detail and understanding of production floor flow Experience with reading BOMs and blueprints Experience with operating forklifts and overhead cranes Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for 8 to 10 hours per day Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
