- Directly responsible for unloading trucks, receiving, quality checks, and putting away materials.
- Accurate data entry required for recording receipts into system and entering product locations after movement of product.
- Stack and unload pallets as needed for shipment or put away.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling tools.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Ensure proper FIFO is adhered to.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping and/or designated truck.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves.
- Relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs.
- Assist in counting physical inventory.
- Adhere to all warehouse GDP requirements.
- Perform daily and bi-weekly cleaning of warehouse areas in adherence to GDP requirements.
- Create SOPs for the department and manage the SOPS through changes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned. Educational/Training Requirements/Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous experience with
UPS/FEDEX
online preferred. Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
- Follow safety guidelines.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Frequently and repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Pay:
$22.00- $23.
