Carryout / Warehouse Associate - Winston

This is a part-time position. The position is responsible for the daily carryout and loading of feed and related products for customers at our Winston location. This is a fast-paced position that requires constant movement of product, attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to make customers feel welcome and work well with a team.

Duties/Responsibilities :

Greets customers as they enter the location to make them feel welcome. Haul feed and other products to customer vehicles. Utilize loading tickets from customers, verify order, and safely load merchandise into customer vehicles. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of feed decks. Re-package broken and torn packaging. Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment. Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor. Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, and answering questions. Assists with online fulfillment orders. Remove any obstructions or debris from aisles and parking areas. Provide basic janitorial services for restrooms, offices, and other high traffic areas by removing garbage, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities :

Excellent customer service skills. Ability to operate office and warehouse equipment such as: computers, printers, scanners, cash registers, and calculators. Must assemble merchandise such as lawn furniture, log splitters, and BBQs as needed. Basic mathematical skills, as needed, to verify on hand counts and product availability. Become knowledgeable about company products and services. Ability to quickly research and recall store prices, products, inventory, and services. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers in a friendly and approachable manner. Must have excellent time management skills and meet deadlines as appropriate.

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling required frequently to rearrange merchandise and communicate stock levels to team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and, with appropriate equipment and lifting techniques, 300 pounds infrequently. May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time. Load merchandise from pallets to the salesfloor. Douglas County Farmers Co-op is a drug free and equal opportunity employer.
