Description Job Overview Tapco Companies has an immediate opening for an experienced Flatbed Truck Loader/ Forklift Operator with a minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse and flatbed truck loading. The potential candidate must be skilled in operating a forklift, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety regulations. Must be efficient and have had experience in loading and unloading 3 to 48 ft. metal tubes or equivalent material in a production environment. This role also involves maintaining accurate paperwork and ensuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine daily inspections on the forklift to ensure it's in good working condition.

Operate forklift in a safe manner while moving metal tube throughout facility.

Load and unload tube from flatbed trucks.

Transport tube to designated areas in warehouse.

Ensure loads are secured and properly balanced before releasing trailer to truck driver.

Coordinate with truck driver and fellow employees to ensure smooth shipping.

Check orders for damage and accuracy prior to shipping.

Report any mechanical issues or damages to equipment.

Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting safe work activities and a clean workspace.

Requirements:

Knowledge of weight distribution and safety regulations

Proficiency in loading and unloading flatbed trailers with a forklift, including proper stacking methods to prevent damage during transport.

Experience in loading and unloading 3 to 48 ft. metal tubes or equivalent material in a production environment.

Attention to detail to ensure accurate loading and paperwork.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to lift heavy objects, climb, bend, stand, pull and perform manual labor tasks.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Must be reliable, dependable and be at work on time. Weekly Attendance Bonus given
