Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, replenishment, order picking, packing, shipping, and material handling. This role requires the safe and efficient operation of Power Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments. Verify quantities and product condition against packing slips and purchase orders. Accurately store products in designated warehouse locations. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards. Load and unload trucks using appropriate material handling equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Safely operate PIT and other warehouse equipment. Transport materials throughout the warehouse and staging areas. Load and unload pallets from racks and trailers. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues. Accurately select products according to picking tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management system instructions. Ensure order accuracy and meet productivity standards. Follow all safety procedures while working at elevated heights. Monitor inventory levels in pick locations. Replenish pick bins and forward pick areas from reserve storage locations. Ensure product is stocked accurately and efficiently to support order fulfillment activities. Coordinate with inventory and operations teams to maintain product availability. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory records through the warehouse management system. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory to management. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
Required High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate or become certified on PIT equipment. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attendance and reliability. Preferred Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience. PIT certification. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Inventory control or cycle counting experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift. Ability to work at elevated heights while operating order picker equipment. Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions and temperatures. Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
