Job Description

Description Perform material handling duties to move, load, and unload steel materials for table cutting operations. Transport material within plant locations using forklift and be open to certification for overhead crane operation. Stage materials for cutting tables according to production schedules. What you will do Unload and move steel materials to designated staging areas using forklifts or other equipment Operate (or be trained/certified to operate) overhead crane to position plates for cutting tables. Verify material specifications, dimensions, and quantities against work orders and packing lists. Coordinate with production team to stage plates in the proper sequence for cutting operations. Maintain safe and organized storage of plates in accordance with plant safety guidelines. Assist with loading cut pieces or scrap for removal or further processing. What You Will Have 1-3 years of material handling experience in heavy steel manufacturing or fabrication preferred. Forklift certification required. Willingness to obtain certification in overhead crane operation (training provided by company). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Basic computer skills required for data entry and inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. Ability to work overtime as required to meet production demands.
