Search Position Summary:

We are searching for an entry-level General Labor/Grinder to join a growing metals processing team located in Wellford, SC. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or build a career in manufacturing. In this position, you will work hands-on with steel and aluminum products, supporting grinding and machine operations in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform continuous metal grinding throughout the shift (primary responsibility) Operate PLC-controlled equipment using push buttons and HMIs Grind and polish steel and aluminum sheets, plates, and coils Assist with coil processing (slitting, buffing, polishing, cut-to-length) Inspect materials using tape measures, calipers, and basic tools Move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided) Package and prepare finished materials for shipment Maintain a clean and safe work environment Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely

Requirements:

Entry-level - 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read instructions and use a tape measure Basic math and problem-solving skills Comfortable using or learning basic computer systems Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently Willingness to learn equipment like forklifts and cranes Strong attention to detail and safety Physical ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs. Ability to work for extended periods while standing, bending, reaching, using arms and hands, lifting
