Job Description

Job Brief At Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks, every great product starts with accuracy, organization, and quality materials. We're looking for a dependable, detail-driven Material Handler to support our warehouse, receiving, and inventory operations while ensuring materials are verified, organized, and production-ready. This role is hands-on and fast-moving, combining receiving, inspection, storage, and inventory control. If you're highly organized, comfortable working in a structured process environment, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, this is a key position in our manufacturing team.
What You'll Do:
Receive incoming wood, components, and supplies from truck shipments (Walnut, laminate, LTL, and small parcel deliveries) Verify quantities against packing lists and perform incoming quality inspections Organize and place materials into designated warehouse locations following Kanban and inventory systems Process and verify small package deliveries (UPS, FedEx, USPS) including repackaging when needed to match standards Support shipping and production by restocking materials and maintaining supply availability Handle RMA returns and ensures proper documentation and storage Maintain clean, organized warehouse and disposal areas, including dumpster and recycling zones Perform routine cycle counts on wood, components, boxes, and chemicals
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to follow structured processes and multi-step instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment with shifting priorities Dependable, organized, and able to manage physical work throughout the day Forklift or warehouse experience is a plus, but not required
Bonus Points For:
Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, or manufacturing experience. Kanban or inventory system experience. A "safety-first" attitude and the ability to recognize equipment wear or hazards before they become issues. Why Join Boyds?
Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 8 - 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays.
