2989949411-2 Apply for this job now Job Description A. O. Smith is seeking a Material Handler to support our manufacturing warehouse operations. In this role, you will safely receive, move, store, and stage materials and components for production of our industry-leading water heaters and treatment products. You will operate material handling equipment, maintain accurate inventory, and use scanners or basic computer systems to track materials. Working in a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, you'll collaborate with production and logistics teams to keep lines running efficiently and on schedule. Responsibilities Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and components Pick, stage, and supply materials to production lines Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely Maintain accurate inventory records and complete documentation Perform cycle counts and support inventory audits Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse Use basic computer or scanner systems for tracking materials Coordinate with production and shipping teams to meet schedules Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling Report material shortages, damage, or discrepancies promptly Required Skills Material handling Warehouse operations Forklift operation Inventory control RF/barcode scanning Basic computer skills (WMS/ERP) Shipping and receiving Palletizing and packaging Safety and PPE compliance Reading work orders and labels
