TEMP Warehouse Worker Allen Independent School District Allen, TX Job Details Temporary $17.68 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Catering experience Forklift HACCP Picking & packing Full Job Description Overview To safeguard the district's investment in Student Nutrition food and supplies with efficient and effective warehousing practices. To meet district needs in a prompt and efficient manner by the distribution of food and supplies stored within the warehouse, treating the school kitchen as the customer. Duties Demonstrate acceptable work habits including teamwork, initiative, flexibility and dependability. Verify accuracy of shipment by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies. Check for damage or defects. Record temperatures of delivered products and maintain proper HACCP documentation. Mark identifying information on items. Sort for placement in facility in an organized manner. Store items according to established warehouse procedures to ensure FIFO product rotation. Proficient in use of stand-up reach forklift. Fill requisitions from stock items; verify accuracy of orders pulled; deliver finished orders to the requestor according to established schedules and obtain the necessary signatures on trip tickets. Perform hot shot deliveries as needed. Continually lifts, stacks and delivers 20-50 pounds cases. Recommend the purchase of replacements when inventory control indicates the need. Provide weekly information on available pallet space. Perform accurate inventory of Student Nutrition food and supplies on a monthly basis. Maintain the Student Nutrition warehouse in an orderly manner by periodic cleaning, re-stocking, rotating, and any other necessary procedures. Performs general maintenance, clean-up, custodial, security and related tasks in case of an emergency or facility disaster. Assist with Catering Operations and Concession Operations as needed. Other assignments as required to assist the Student Nutrition Department with efficient operation.
