Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our team in Ballinger, Texas . The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our facility, ensuring timely delivery to production lines, storage areas, and shipping docks. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Load, unload, and move materials within the plant using various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and report any discrepancies or damage. Organize and store materials in designated locations, maintaining accurate inventory records. Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging. Operate machinery safely and efficiently, conducting pre-operation checks and reporting any maintenance issues. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
This position primarily operates in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying. May involve working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on production needs.
