Job Description

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
Milam and Greene Whiskey seeks a Warehouse Associate. This position is responsible for handling whiskey barrels as well as receiving, shipping, and storing raw materials and finished goods. Duties include but are not limited to shipping and receiving raw materials and finished goods, filling and harvesting whiskey barrels, storing whiskey barrels, pulling samples of whiskey, maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness. Ideal candidates will have previous distilled spirits experience, but we will also consider anyone with warehouse experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates equipment in a safety-first manner. Follows standard operating procedures. Receives or loads supplies, raw materials, and finished goods. Stores whiskey barrels in warehouse. Occasionally assists with harvesting barrels for batching and bottling. Occasionally transfers whiskey between batching and bottling tanks. Assists on bottling line as necessary. Maintains plant cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day, can lift items up to 50 lbs. Must have a strong ability to problem solve and work without immediate oversight. Strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain flexibility as necessary. Warehouse background and prior forklift experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to complete paperwork or use distillery management software. Must be capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and completing repetitive motions. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (approximately 6 hours or more incrementally per day). You are a detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to exercise accountability and responsibility. Ability to work in hot/cold environments.
