This is a hands-on position responsible for supporting the daily movement, preparation, packing, and organization of architectural building materials. The Laborer will assist with crating and packing customer orders, order fulfillment, preparing stone samples, moving and organizing inventory, receiving incoming materials, and supporting the Inventory Team with day-to-day warehouse and yard operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing things correctly, and works well as part of a team. Our materials can be heavy, fragile, and valuable, so attention to detail and safe material handling are important. Duties & Responsibilities Build and prepare wooden crates and pallets for customer orders and outgoing shipments. Pack and secure stone, tile, architectural elements, and other materials to help prevent damage during transportation. Assist with order fulfillment , including locating, pulling, staging, counting, packing, and preparing materials for shipment or customer pickup. Prepare stone and material samples for customers and the sales team, including selecting, cutting or breaking down materials as directed, labeling, packing, and organizing samples. Assist the Inventory Team with locating, moving, counting, tagging, and organizing inventory. Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, pallets, and storage areas. Assist with receiving incoming shipments and containers. Move and stage materials throughout the warehouse and yard using appropriate material-handling equipment. Organize pallets, crates, stone, tile, and other inventory to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse and yard. Assist with routine inventory counts and physical inventory projects. Verify quantities when pulling, receiving, or moving materials and report discrepancies to the Inventory Team. Help prepare sold materials for workshop processing, customer pickup, or freight shipment. Maintain clean and organized work areas, including crating, sampling, shipping, warehouse, and yard areas. Safely use hand tools and power tools required for crating, packing, sampling, and material preparation. Follow company procedures for safely handling heavy, fragile, and high-value architectural materials. Assist warehouse, inventory, and operations team members with additional tasks as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, manufacturing, building materials, shipping/receiving, or other physical labor environment preferred. Experience building crates, pallets, or using woodworking tools is a plus. Experience handling stone, tile, masonry, construction materials, or other heavy materials is a plus. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools. Ability to accurately count materials and follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail when handling, packing, and preparing customer orders. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse and outdoor yard environment. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier or oversized materials using team lifting or material-handling equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical work throughout the workday. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Position Environment This is a hands-on labor position , not a desk-based inventory role. The majority of the workday will involve physical activity in our warehouse, yard, crating, shipping, and material-handling areas. The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, organized, willing to learn, and ready to help wherever needed to keep customer orders and materials moving efficiently.
